At Affordable Insurance Packages, we are committed to transparency and fairness. Please read our refund and cancellation policy carefully to understand your rights and our obligations.
Policy Cancellation
You may cancel your insurance policy at any time by contacting us. Cancellations are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving your written request.
Pro-Rata Refunds
If you cancel mid-term, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your premium, minus any applicable fees or earned premium.
Free Look Period
New policyholders have a 10-day free look period from the policy start date. If cancelled within this window, a full refund is issued with no penalty.
Non-Refundable Fees
Certain administrative fees, policy issuance charges, and third-party costs are non-refundable regardless of the cancellation date.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–14 business days. Bank processing times may vary.
Claims Impact
If a claim has been filed or paid under your policy, the refund amount may be reduced or voided depending on the claim settlement status.
How to Request a Refund
To initiate a cancellation or refund request, please follow these steps:
- Contact our support team via email or phone with your policy number.
- Submit a written cancellation request stating the reason and desired effective date.
- Our team will review your request and confirm eligibility within 2 business days.
- Once approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method.
Exceptions & Special Circumstances
Refunds may not be available in cases where the policy was obtained through misrepresentation, fraud, or where a total loss claim has been settled. In such cases, our team will communicate the outcome in writing.
Insurer-Initiated Cancellations
If Affordable Insurance Packages cancels your policy for reasons other than non-payment or fraud, you will receive a full pro-rata refund for the remaining policy term, along with written notice at least 30 days in advance.
